Things that I really like / inspired by that I very much like to keep for a ‘rainy day’. Or perhaps things that are just lovely. Either way, worth keeping.

Van Tour | ‘Moser Makes’ Ford Transit Camper Van Conversion

This is the full tour of my Ford Transit cargo van that Moser converted into a camper/tiny home on wheels!

Things / Ideas I took away from this:

  • Like the rough layout design – Kitchen, ‘general area’, bed
  • Don’t like the kitchen taking up so much space
  • I’d prefer a ‘windowed’ bulkhead instead of doors. Seems wasted space
  • Like the cooler under the bench idea
  • Like the composting toilet idea
  • Love the sliding table, but would rather enjoy the option for additional bed
  • Door for charging is cool
  • Like the bed lighting ideas
  • Like the insert areas for the bed space
  • Unsure about the space for the cabinets above the bed

Van Tour | Overlanding Ford Transit Camper

Even though I am jealous of the mod cons Mel’s Ford Transit has, it is very similar to mine in many ways, so have taken a lot from his tour (below).

This video is from Mel’s Van Life: Beautiful Camper conversion ford transit into a full-time home to live the van life. Mel’s aim is to give you campervan conversion ideas on how to convert a van into a camper and to help inspire you to build your own tiny home on wheels.

But what if you are currently researching the best camper van to self build, and so daydream about the possibly crazy places you would like to go in such a vehicle?

Building a sliding bulkhead for the stealth off grid camper

I’ve been looking for alternative and interesting ideas for a van conversion, and I think a stealth sliding bulkhead, is exactly what I am looking for. Especially as the space in my van is more compact than many converted, I want to ensure as many great ideas are included to maximum light, storage and functionality.

I’m also concerned about security. So the fewer windows needed the better in my conversion.

OMG! The Mongol Rally Sounds AMAZING! Who’s up for it?

I was catching up on a few YouTube videos over the weekend, and stumbled across an interview Nora from the channel “The Professional Hobo” (a channel I’m subbed to), who talks about travelling and adventures full time.

This weekend’s release was an interview with Dave & Deb from The Planet D (a channel I’d never heard of before). However, I watched anyway as I always enjoy listening to others experiences – learning tips and ideas etc.

Turns out, they were talking about their best adventures they had been on. But number 2 on their list sounded EPIC! The sort of epic, where you stop everything, to ensure you are paying attention. And attention I paid… The Mongol Rally.
