I have been a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy since Peter Jackson’s amazing films. However, possibly shockingly to some who know me, I’ve never read the books. This is however not for trying over the years.

Wandavision ‘We Interrupt This Program’ (S01E04) Review
Actually ended this episode of Wandavision saying out loud “Really? Is that it?”.
With a stupidly long ‘previously on…’ and seemingly 8 hours of end credits – this episode must only be about 15 minutes long.
I am generally getting a tad bored with all the ball tickling foreplay this series is constantly giving me. I’m actually starting to question if it is such a good idea for Marvel doing so many TV series after all. At least with the movies they seem more constrained to 2-3hrs of story telling, so there’s a balance with economy of story and world building. Here the focus seems to be on padding.

OS Map App Review
The other day I was discussing the secret feature of OS Map app, that is (in my opinion) a real game changer to finding hikes and walks in your surrounding area – especially during this lockdown. Since then, I’ve luckily been able to get a day of beautiful weather to explorer a route, and use the app, and so I thought I’d take a moment to review my first experience with it.

Wandavision ‘Now in Colour’ (S01E03) Review
So it’s been a whole week to wait for the next instalment of the Wandavision, and I have mixed views about this.
Even though I’m enjoying the fact I have something to look forward to each week, up till now there hasn’t really been anything MAJOR to get my teeth into overall.
That’s the biggest issue Disney+ and Marvel are going to have if they are going to continue with this weekly releasing schedule: it gives the audience time to reflect. A moment to ponder whether after the whole whip up of initial excitement – was there actually any substance?
Episode 1 was a nice introduction piece. Episode 2 really played with the premise a little more – but nothing really substantial. So does Episode 3 finally stop with the whole foreplay, and get juicy?

Get an OS Map, to UNLOCK a secret feature to survive Covid!
Over Christmas, I was actively looking for new ways to explore and go on adventures, while being a good boy and abiding with the Covid-19 restrictions currently in England. Adventures and exploring is an important part of my mental health – when I am physically able to do so.
Currently, as write this, Englands’ Covid restrictions mean that there is no limit to the amount of time of exercise anyone can do per day – just once a day. Which compared to other areas of the United Kingdom who are limited to an hour exercise per day, I am truly grateful for. Meaning that as long as it’s from your front door, you can cycle 24 miles if you want – or like me hike for a few hours in a haunting yet eerily beautiful winter landscape.

Wandavision ‘Don’t Touch That Dial’ (S01E02) Review
Two episodes in one day for the new Marvel Wandavision show – late Christmas present perhaps? Especially after how long we’ve had to wait for them to finally release them (was supposed to be before Christmas). However, plot is finally getting juicy with this episode, with way more insights and things to ponder over than Episode 1.
After push back (after yet another push back), Disney+ has finally released Wandavision. Compared to Marvel’s Black Widow, this was the story (along with Loki) I was most looking forward to seeing. The premise seemed exciting – how does a hugely powerful witch cope with loss. Sounds exciting to me.
